And now Adele has now been nominated for the Barclaycard Mercury Prize for her record breaking alum 21.
The 23-year-old singer, who missed out on the award in 2008 for her debut album 19, will battle it out with two previous recipients of the prestigious music prize PJ Harvey and the band she lost out to three years ago, Elbow.

But the singer who set a new record for an unbroken 11-week stint at the top of the charts with her follow up album, has never been in higher demand.
Earlier this month it was reported that Adele is set to join the judging panel of BBC1 talent show The Voice joining a panel which is tipped to include Cheryl Cole and Cee Lo Green.
