Heidi Klum jets home from Met Gala wearing odd but comfortable monochrome boots

She tottered along the red carpet last night in dainty Christian Louboutin heels. But Heidi Klum came back down to earth this morning, opting for comfort over style in an obscure set of boots for her departure from New York.
Heading home to LA after the Met Gala, Heidi stepped out in an eye-catching pair of shoes, but they didn’t demand attention for the right reasons.

Her shoes featured ebony around the feet and ivory around the lower leg, with square panels of snakeskin look material thrown into the mix.
Teaming the monochrome below-the-knee boots with skinny jeans - as well as an asymmetric top, black scarf and oversized black and white cardigan - the supermodel looked far from her usual chic catwalk-worthy appearance.

However, she appeared comfortable and cheerful as she walked through the terminal to make her exit into Los Angeles in the flat design.
Perhaps she needed to rest her feet after treading carefully around the Big Apple in delicate  heels the night before.
The blonde, shielded her eyes with sunglasses as she chatted in her mobile phone upon landing.
She appeared to have more energy in her than she did in a Twitter picture she has posted earlier, showing her catching up on some rest during the plane journey home.
The star – who split from her musician husband Seal recently – has been extremely busy lately so it’s no surprise her manic schedule is catching up with her.
She told WWD about her new children’s collection for Babies 'R' Us: ‘I made beds, curtains, blankets, washcloths, bath toys, wall decals, lamps, rugs, hampers, stuffed animals, security blankets and night lights. If you think about the nursery, I'm doing everything.

‘I tackle everything from shoes, socks, underwear and pyjamas to dresses, jeans, leggings and sweaters.
The Germany’s Next Top Model presenter is unlikely to be bringing her quirky sense of style to the infant department of Toys ‘R’ Us but she does claim educational elements in her line provide that something extra for youngsters.
‘It's much better than just laying on a pink blanket. I think it's something that stimulates brain development.’
