Louis Walsh says former X Factor judge Cowell will regret his decision to leave - and he won't be missed

The public are already on the edge of their sofas in anticipation of how The X Factor shake-up will pan out without Simon Cowell and Cheryl Cole.But confident Louis Walsh has been so bold as to say it will be better than the US version, and he won't be missing his former panellists.
He praised the new judges and claims the show was never about the Syco boss, but about the talent instead.

Cowell, 51, has now left the UK version and will not be appearing on the eighth season of the ITV1 series.

Instead, he is flying across the Atlantic to star on the US version with fellow judges Paula Abdul, Nicole Scherzinger and L.A. Reid.

 
In his outburst, Louis told The Mirror: 'We’ve got brilliant new judges and he’s going to be so p***ed off that he’s not doing it. Simon’s a fool.
'This show is going to be much bigger and better than the US version.

'He left American Idol and it continued to be a huge success. Now he’s gone from the UK X Factor but we are going to show him that it’s not about him - it’s all about the talent. We don’t need Simon. We’ve moved on.'
Take That singer Gary Barlow, 40, has now joined the panel alongside former Destiny's Child singer Kelly Rowland, 30.
N-Dubz star Tulisa Contostavlos is the baby of the bunch at 23 - making Louis the only original member left.
Louis, who is now in Ireland for the start of boot camp, also said there is an 'amazing energy on the show'.

The new series of The X Factor UK starts on Saturday.
