Forget to put your face on? A less-than-glamorous Rihanna is snapped leaving an LA restaurant via the back door

Rihanna proved she can't always live up to her ultra-glamorous image when she was caught leaving a restaurant via the back door.

The R&B star normally looks as though she's applied her make-up with relish before leaving the house, but on this occasion she was caught short.

As she left the Osteria Mozza restaurant in Los Angeles Rihanna slipped into a waiting car, but looked washed out without her usual application of cosmetics.

The 23-year-old wore a white dress with bobble detailing which contrasted with her bright red curly locks.

She looked a far cry from the party girl we've become accustomed to seeing, sans make-up.

Rihanna will no doubt be celebrating scoring another number one on the Billboard charts with What's My Name (with rapper Drake), making it her tenth chart-topping single.

'Rihanna’s tenth Number 1 single is a monumental accomplishment and a testament to her incredible artistry,' said Steve Bartels, President and COO of the Island Def Jam Music Group.

She's will also be pleased at securing a duet with fellow female R&B superstar Beyonce.

The pair reportedly first discussed working together at this year's Grammys, and have now set time aside in their schedules to work on the track.

A source told website M is For Music: 'Rihanna has wanted to work with Beyonce for some time now and, after talking about a duet at this year's Grammys, they have finally managed to set aside some time to record together.

'The song will feature on Beyonce's album and will be a number one smash hit for sure.'

Meanwhile it remains to be seen if she will perform with the UK's own rising superstar, Jessie J after the Essex-born singer put out a plea for Rihanna to perform Do It Like A Dude with her.

Jessie wrote the song for the RnB star, but decided to keep it for herself.

On Canadian music show New.Music.Live, she said: 'I wanna ask her, I really wanna ask her if we can perform it together.. either on her tour or at V Festival or one of the big festivals. I definitely think that she would kill it.'
