Stacey Solomon finishes London Triathlon with celebrity team with Richard Branson

It's just as well Stacey Solomon has a medal to prove she finished - because she says she'll probably never do the London Triathlon again.The 21-year-old was one of several celebrities in the first day of the two-day bike, swim and run event - the biggest in the world.
It was led by billionaire Sir Richard Branson whose fitness chain Virgin Active was the major sponsor.

Thousands of wet-suit clad participamts splashed into the Royal Victoria Dock, jumped on their bikes inside the ExCel centre, then headed back outside to run along the dockside.
Stacey tweeted soon after the race, saying: 'Woooooooo I'm alive and got through the London triathlon!'
But she said: 'Not sure I'll ever do it again though hahahahaha!!! Xx'

Stacey also added: 'Thank you to everyone who cheered me love u lots and thank u Richard for the chance to take part!!'

Early this morning she told how nervous she was and asked fans to wish her luck.
As she crossed the finish line she was seen letting out a massive cheer, throwing her hands up in the air.

She later snuggled up to Sir Richard, who was still dressed in his wetsuit after the swimming leg, as she dried off in a red towel.
The former X Factor star still looked glamorous throughout the race, sporting acrylic nails.
Her clinging wetsuit showed off her enviable curves.

She was seen training for the even last week, bravely venturing into The Serpentine in London’s Hyde Park.

Stacey, who is the face of Iceland, looked glamorous as she arrived in a pair of tight grey leggings, and an oversized cream blouse with pocket detail and a gold necklace around her neck.

Stacey teetered into the swimming area in a pair of nude peep-toe heels and had her long hair coiffured into loose curls flowing around her shoulders.

And she raised eyebrows last month when she turned up to a triathlon launch in a pair of sheer footless tights which showed off her black knickers.
Yesterday, Sir Richard's two children, Holly, 29, and Sam, 26, accompanied their father in the race.
Holly looked to be taking care of her figure ahead of her wedding to ship broker Freddie Andrews.

The ceremony is due to take place on Sir Richard Branson’s private island Necker in the Caribbean on November 20.

She is apparently marrying on a budget, asking guests to bring camping gear to stay on the island.
JLS singer Oritse Williams also competed in yesterday's event. He delighted female onlookers when he showed off his stick-on Virgin Active tattoo on his buff arm.
Regular marathon runner, glamour model Nell McAndrew, 37, also participated, looking fit in a pink top and black shorts.
Other celebrities in the race over the two days include Apprentice star Liz Locke and Richard and Judy's daughter Chloe Madeley, 23.
Former Liberty X singer Michelle Heaton was there to support competitiors but was unable to compete in the even after revealing she was pregnant with her first child.
She woke up on her 32nd birthday two weeks ago and tweeted the happy news.

Yesterday, she tweeted her support for triathletes.
She said: 'Me and the small bump are looking forward to helping start the @virginActiveUK london triathlon 2moz. such a shame i cant do it! LOL. xxx'
She later tweeted a photo of her and launching the event with Sir Richard and Stacey.

Distances in the vent varied depending on ability. The super sprint competitions for novices involved a 400m swim, a 10km bike ride and a 2.5km run.
Seasoned competitors entered the Olympic Plus distances which demand eda 1,500m swim, an 80km cycle and a 10km run.
Road closures are in place until 8pm tomorrow.
