Girls night out: Sarah Ferguson puts Royal Wedding snub behind her to spend quality time with her daughters

Last month as her daughters were attending the Royal wedding with her ex-husband Sarah Ferguson fled to Thailand to get away from the fuss and to try and ignore the snub.

But last night The Duchess of York, 51, didn’t feel left out as she went for dinner with her daughters in Mayfair.

Sarah and Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie enjoyed an evening at the George restaurant.

The threesome were also also accompanied by a Royal protection officer for the night out - despite recent reports that the young Princesses would lose security in a row over the cost.

The ladies also chose to dress up for the occasion with Sarah opting for a pretty patterned dress with a long navy jacket and matching tights.

She carried a Hermes birkin bag on her arm and held hands with her elder daughter as they headed for home following the meal.

Princess Beatrice, 22, who has been looking slimmer than ever in recent weeks was dressed in a black and grey dress with a black jacket and carried a hard gold clutch.

Beatrice credits a fitness regime based on exercise, lots of water and plenty of fruit and vegetables, with keeping the weight off.

The Princess had showed off her fabulous figure in a Rouland Mouret dress at the Chelsea flower show on Monday, which she had attended with her father The Duke of York and her grandmother The Queen.

Meanwhile, last night, her sister Eugenie, 21, opted for sheer tights with a black dress and a leather jacket for the all-female outing.

Sarah was caught up in a scandal last year after she was taped offering access to Prince Andrew for $724,000.

And on The Oprah Winfrey show the Duchess spoke of her hurt at not being invited to the Royal wedding.

'I went through the phase of feeling so totally worthless and that it was quite right they didn't invite me. Why would they - why would they invite me?'

She continued: 'I felt that I ostracised myself by my behaviour, by the past, by living with all the regrets of my mistakes, that I sort of wore a hair shirt and beat myself up most of the day thinking and regretting why did I make such a mistake? Why have I made so many mistakes?

'I chose to go and be in Thailand in a place called Kamalaya... the jungle embraced me,' she said.

The snub 'was so difficult,' the Duchess said, 'because I wanted to be there with my girls... to be getting them dressed and to go as a family.'

She added: 'Also, it was so hard, because the last bride up that aisle was me.'
She revealed that she was in contact with her former husband, whom she married at Westminster Abbey in 1986, throughout the Royal Wedding day.

She said: 'When Andrew went with the girls, we were talking all morning and he was saying, "It's okay. Just remember we had such a good day. Our wedding was so perfect".

'Because we're such a unit together. He made me feel very part of the day on April the 29th.
