Charlize Theron cradles baby at shoot for edgy Snow White reboot The Huntsman (while Kristen Stewart sulks with cigarette)

She may play the Evil Queen in this June's hotly anticipated reboot of the Snow White story, but Charlize Theron looked more like a fairy godmother at a shoot for the film in LA on Friday.
In fact, it was Snow White - the ever surly Kristen Stewart - who seemed likely to place a curse on passing innocents as she moped over a balcony with cigarette in hand.
Charlize, 36 , was cradling the baby son of a friend and couldn't have looked more cuddly, and it made for a delightful vignette.

Meanwhile, the Twilight alum, who plays a grittier Snow White in the new film, wore a hooded top and skulked between action shots with a cigarette in hand and dark circles under her eyes.
Charlize and the adorable baby will do little to dispel the mounting speculation that the South African actress is planning to follow in the steps of Sandra Bullock, Angelina Jolie et al and adopt a baby.
The Young Adult ditched her boyfriend of 10 years, Stuart Townsend, and ended an fling with Ryan Reynolds last month and is finally so fed up with men that she's ready to do it herself.

She told Germany's In Touch magazine: 'I want a baby. If it would happen tomorrow I would be very happy.'
When asked if she would consider adopting as a single mother she said: 'Why Not? I'm open to everything in life.'
Charlize has previously spoken out about adoption when she said: 'There are so many unwanted children on this earth and it's our job to care for them. And if we don't we're doing the world a disservice.'

Meanwhile, Chris Hemsworth, 28 ,who plays the eponymous hero of the story, strode about looking like he could chop wood and take down the odd deer, should the need arise.
The titular role has been expanded from the original tale, giving Hemsworth a nice meaty character to build upon.
A synopsis offered by Universal pictures outlines the film, thusly: 'Snow White and the Huntsman is a new take on the classic fairy tale which features an expanded role for the Huntsman.
'In the fairy tale, he is ordered to take Snow White into the woods and kill her, but instead lets her go. In the new take, the Huntsman is not a love interest but acts more as a mentor, teaching Snow White to fight and survive.'

  1. nice pic .I'm probably going to get the snap kind too. After I posted this I thought about how they're supposed to last for so many months and how I'd probably have to replace the velcro.
