Simon Cowell is TWO HOURS late for BGT auditions because he's soaking in a 'lemony' bath

It is said that cleanliness is next to godliness.
And it's no secret that Britain's Got Talent supremo Simon Cowell wields deity-like authority on the set of his hit show.
But even presenters Ant and Dec felt Simon was taking the biscuit when he turned up for Saturday's live show in Cardiff two hours late.

That's lather a poor excuse! Simon Cowell reportedly showed up for filming at Saturday's Britain's Got Talent auditions in Cardiff two hours late because he was having a bath
Judges Alesha Dixon and David Walliams were reportedly on time for filming at 2pm, however proceedings apparently ground to a halt while Simon lathered up a storm in a tub.

Dec even posted a desperate tweet at 4pm, pleading: 'If you're outside in the Q in Cardiff, tweet @SimonCowell and tell him to hurry up!!'
'Simon's a law unto himself. He never gets up before noon and is happy working late at night,' revealed a source according to The Sun.

'The problem is the thousands of people who turned up for the show — as well as Ant and Dec and his fellow judges David and Alesha — were on time.'
'They had to sit twiddling their thumbs for a couple of hours while he pampered himself in his suite.'
To add insult to injury, Simon reportedly disappeared for another soaking during the break between the afternoon and evening slots, delaying the latter by 90 minutes until 8.30pm.

A friend has divulged Simon is partial to lemon-scented soap, adding 'It's not uncommon for Simon to get up and go for a bath during the show. He comes back smelling really lemony.'
David Walliams asked to smell Simon upon his return to verify his excuse for being late.
On a more professional note, it has been revealed that Simon has nabbed Made In Chelsea producer Sharon Mills to capture the backstage BGT action on camera.

'Out of all of Simon’s shows, Britain’s Got Talent has the most variety, from animals to circus acts and fire-eaters,' an insider told the Daily Star.
'He wants to give viewers a bigg-er insight into what happens backstage with them all. With Sharon’s track record in reality TV on E4, she’s perfect for the job.'
'With such a wide range of people there’s always lots going on – fireworks and tanrums and maybe even romance.'
