Shriver, who just filed for divorce from her actor-turned-politician husband, is one of the most sought after subjects in the book world, with multi million dollar offers pouring in.
The mother of four has already written six best-selling books including And One More Thing Before You Go... and What's Happening to Grandpa?
Hot commodity: Maria Shriver, pictured with husband Arnold Schwarzenegger in happier times, is reportedly being courted by several book publishers
But a tell-all about life with her cheating husband would fly off store shelves, perhaps setting sales records.
According to Radaronline, a top publishing executive has told Shriver could rake in more than the all-time advance record, which was the $15 million paid to former president Bill Clinton for his memoir, My Life.
There's no indication if Maria has any interest in going public, but that's not stopping publishers from putting together deal offers.
Making it official: Maria's attorney filed divorce papers yesterday in Los Angeles
Shriver filed divorce papers yesterday, two months after it was revealed her husband of 25 years had a son with their former housekeeper.
The 55-year-old former California first lady cited irreconcilable differences in papers filed at Los Angeles Superior Court.
She is also seeking shared custody of their minor children, Patrick, 17, and Christopher, 13.
Keeping busy: Maria is currently attending the Special Olympics, which her mother founded, in Athens, Greece
Sources close to the couple told TMZ that Arnold and Maria are on speaking terms and Arnold knew beforehand that she was filing divorce papers. Maria is telling friends she hopes this will be an easy and amicable divorce.
They announced their split back in May, saying in a statement: 'At this time, we are living apart, while we work on the future of our relationship.
'We are continuing to parent our four children together. They are the light and the centre of both of our lives.'
Both Arnold and Maria appear to be moving on, with the 63-year-old Terminator star looking sombre as he attended meetings in Santa Monica yesterday.
Maria, meanwhile, was in Athens, Greece, earlier this week at a Special Olympics event paying tribute to her mother Eunice.
