Ex-Fugees singer Lauren Hill has given birth to a baby boy, it has been reported.The 36-year-old welcomed her sixth child on Saturday, after a 'little scare' where the baby was delivered with the umbilical cord around his neck.
According to a report on the website 'Black Celeb Kids,' which was quickly picked up by media outlets, mother and baby are now doing fine.
Miss Hill 'had a little scare because the baby came out the womb with the umbilical cord wrapped around his neck,' a source told the website. 'All is well now and everyone is happy.'
It emerged that the singer was pregnant just two months ago, but her long-time partner and father of her other five children, Rohan Marley, has been confusing fans and the media by hinting that he is not the father.
Today Marley tweeted: 'I'm forwarding all well wishes to Ms. Hill on the birth of her new son. I'm sure she'll appreciate the love being sent to her.'
The 39-year-old is the son of Bob Marley and has been in a relationship with Hill for 15 years.
But rumours are circulating that he is dating 28-year-old Brazilian model Isabeli Fontana.
Miss Fontana posted a photo of her and Marley on Twitter with the caption, 'I'm in love with @Romarley 's heart.'
And a friend of Fontana's, with the Twitter name 'Team_Isabeli' posted: '@IsabeliFontana1 Enjoy your holiday! And ignore all the crazy tweets of mean people who don't know shhhh about you and your private life -x'
After rumours of an affair started, Marley hit back on Twitter, saying: 'Ms. Hill is the mother of my children, whom I have a tremendous amount of love and respect for. I would never do that.'
But conversing on Twitter with a reporter from the The Houston Chronicle shortly after news of Hill's pregnancy broke, he stated: '2 things... I'm not married and I don't have anyone expecting anything.'
The journalist then responded, asking: 'So we are clear. 1.) You're not married to your ex-wife or Lauryn, and 2.) She isn't preggo w/your child, but someone else's?'
Marley responded: 'That is correct until I say out of my mouth to the contrary.'
But he later tweeted: ''I got to be more careful about who I engage in a little conversation they'll twist your words into their own meanings.'
Hill and Rohan are already parents to Zion, 14, Selah, 13, Joshua, nine, John, eight and three-year-old Sarah.
The Grammy winner confirmed she was pregnant at a concert in Detroit's Chene Park, after sparking speculation when she appeared at the Coachella festival in April with a rounded stomach.
One fan at the Detroit concert, Ashley Trybula, told Radar online: 'She told the crowd, 'I'm going to be taking time off to give birth'.
A spokesperson for Hill is yet to respond to the Mail Online's request for comment.
