Makeup to me is like candy. I get carried away in the colours and the textures. In the pretty packaging and the softness of the brushes. So the ‘Les Fleurs D’Ete’ Summer 2011 collection from Chanel, which is set to launch in May 2011, makes me happier than a kid in a candy store.
This season’s must have nail polish is called Mimosa. A bright canary yellow shade, I challenge woman to wear this colour and not feel instantly more cheery!
‘Les Fleurs D’Ete’ Summer 2011 collection also includes two other new nail polishes; a rosy pink shade named ‘Morning Rose’ and the other is ‘Beige Petale’, a light nude shade. Peter Philips, Chanel’s global creative director took his inspiration from a sunny, tropical fantasy, and it really shows.
The collection also features several new pink-coloured lipglosses and an eyeshadow quad with two green shade eyeshadows, a pale pink colour and a dark chocolate-brown. A multi-coloured stripe bronzing compact and a natural liquid brown eyeliner top off this bright, breezy collection perfectly. The yellow ‘Mimosa’ nail polish is definitely the main attraction in this bright, summer makeup collection, and is sure to sell out fast if their past statement nail colours are anything to go by.
I’m not usually one to post about makeup, but I couldn’t resist this! I’ll be first in line for my ‘Mimosa’ come May
