Jessica Alba looked like a human Oscar statuette last night, simply desirable and dripping in gold. The
Fantastic Four actress graced the red carpet at the Metropolitan Museum
of Art's annual ball in New York City, complete with classic Hollywood
curls, dramatic drop earrings and blood red lipstick.
However, earlier in the day, the 31-year-old looked like any other ordinary mum on the run as she was seen pottering around New York City clutching a takeaway drink container.
Obviously Jessica's exotic looks still
shone through as she dressed down in a geometric dress and androgynous
blazer, but going make-up beneath shades made her appear more girl-next-door.
Gisele Bunchen typically scrubbed up well, looking effortlessly striking in a sequin Givenchy number.
However, the 5ft 11in beauty wasn't quite as eager to be photographed as she was seen running errands earlier around the Big Apple, lurking beneath shades and a grey scarf.
Kristen Stewart made an effort to trade tomboy chic for haute couture, braving a snakeskin bodice.
But the Twilight actress barely lasted a few hours, switching from her Balenciaga frock by Nicolas Ghesquiere, back into her jeans and leather jacket to attend the afterparty.
Fellow young star Emma Roberts also looked rather different from her daytime attire.
The Scream 4 beauty embraced the summer spirit by stepping out in bright canary yellow.
Her smile was of course reminiscent of auntie Julia, whose famous footsteps she is fast following in.
Last week, the 21-year-old was seen strolling through NYC in ripped jeans and a leopard print scarf, looking a little more her age than last night mingling with the A-list veterans.
There's
Something About Mary beauty Cameron Diaz looked sensational, proving a
celebrity can look just as hot, if not hotter, without the need for
showing off an abundance of flesh.
But Justin Timberlake's former squeeze can be just as gracious in her slacks, making grey jeans and a baggy sweater look as sexy as her red carpet pizazz.
And perhaps Sarah Jessica Parker should take note.
Sadly the Sex and the City fashionista looked better in her jeans and leather jacket than her oddball dress which looked rather like she'd make an outfit from her grandmother's curtains.
