Despite causing chaos to the village of Little Faringdon - where the couple married in St Peter's Church at 4pm on Friday - by closing roads off, the newlyweds made amends to the locals by sending them all a bottle of Moet champagne with a thank you note.

The note read: 'Thank you for all your patience and understanding! Lots of love Jamie and Kate.'
