Attending Westminster Abbey this afternoon for the annual Commonwealth Observance ceremony, the Queen looked nothing short of majestic.
She wore a bespoke pink dress with matching cashmere wool coat by designer Peter Enirone, which was set off perfectly by a hat created for her by her valued in-house couturier, Angela Kelly.
At her neck was a triple string of pearls, at her ears, large single pearls. On her lapel was pinned an intricate diamond brooch.
All in all, the effect was dazzling, and just what one would expect from the Head of the Commonwealth at such an important occasion.
The Queen was in attendance at the Abbey today in her official capacity not only as the Commonwealth's head but also as the head of state of 15 Commonwealth realms.
Her Majesty gave an address to the multi-faith congregation as part of a larger service with a 'Connecting Cultures' theme that the Commonwealth Society said would 'explore the golden threads that tie together people from every continent, faith and ethnicity' using a fusion of world music, dance and personal testimonies.
As for that hot pink tone, for many it would be a bold choice. The Queen though is no stranger to top-to-toe fuchsia, and has worn it on many occasions to great effect.
Just last week she wowed crowds in Leicester last week on the first leg of her Diamond Jubilee tour when she outshone the Duchess of Cambridge in a bright pink dress and coat.
And at Christmas, the Queen attended a church service wearing a hot pink coat and carrying an umbrella trimmed with the same hot pink tone created for her bespoke by East London firm Fulton.

PRETTY IN PINK: THE QUEEN'S COLOURFUL PAST
