Looting Riots In London, Pictures and More!

Police release just twelve pictures of looting suspects (but here are 30 more caught in the act)

Clambering out of a smashed shop window, a young woman cradles her bounty of looted designer clothes.
On the same day, another masked female emerges from a ransacked off-licence clutching a haul of alcohol and cigarettes.
While on a high street, groups of looters spill out of a pharmacy holding bag fulls of over-the-counter medication.
These are just some of the pictures that have emerged from the riots. But despite the extensive violence, the Met only managed today to release 12 grainy CCTV images of suspected criminals.

Pictured here are just some of the youths suspected of plundering hundreds of businesses damaged in riots across London.
The rogues gallery of pictures from photographers brave enough to put themselves in the middle of the chaos will help to bring offenders to justice.

'Those who have or intend to go out and commit violent, criminal acts should be warned. We will have photographs and evidence that we will use to identify you and bring you to justice.
'Today we are releasing the first of many, many images of people we will be speaking to in connection with the scenes of violence.
'We will not tolerate the violence that has been seen in parts of London.'

The Met have released their own pictures of rioters from the disturbance. They show thugs in Birmingham trying to break into a jewellers.
A number of young women are also seen emerging from a Richer Sounds electronics store in Croydon. More are seen entering a PC store.
The looters who were caught on cameras are just a handful of the thousands of people believed to have been involved in public disorder since riots began in Tottenham on Saturday night.
The unrest has spread to dozens of Londons of towns with businesses being attacked, buildings set fire and shops looted.
More than 450 people are so far understood to have been arrested, although that number could increase in the coming days.
The Met have released their own collection of CCTV images which they hope will identify suspected rioters.
They are urging people who recognise the looters to contact police.
