Showcasing her trademark mole with a flash red lipstick, the 45-year old looks as though she hasn't aged a day.
The image, shot in Los Angeles in July, is just one of the two covers for the September edition - one of the magazine industry's most important month.
Crawford was just 16 when she started her career but despite three decades of working, she shows no signs of slowing down.
But the mother-of-two admits the job has become a lot harder for aspiring models.
She said the girls on the runaway and in magazines are shrinking and haven't got the curves of their predecessors.
'I just saw the CoverGirl commercial with Taylor Swift and I thought, "Wow, it is so hard for models to get a job these days.
'You have to sing and act, too. There doesn't seem to be as much work specifically just for models.
'And I also think when I was modelling, size 6 (UK size 10) was a normal size and now it's like 2 (UK 6) or 0 (UK 4).'
