She is one of the hottest properties in Hollywood after starring with Justin Timberlake in Friends With Benefits. But as this picture of a young Mila Kunis shows, she became used to the spotlight from a tender age.
However she was more geek than chic as she wore pigtails and carried a teddy bear for a guest appearance on TV show Unhappily Ever After.
Mila was just a cute 12-year-old when she appeared as a guest character on the popular sitcom in 1996, and she managed to win the heart of the youngest member of the Malloy family Ross.
Appropriately enough Mila is a self-confessed geek in real life, and freely admits loving Star Trek and World of Warcraft.
Talking about being a Trekkie in a recent GQ interview she said: 'I got into it in my late teens, 18, 19, 20, something like that.
'I got into it later than most people. But let's not talk about it in the past tense. I'm still a Star Trek fan. You never stop being one.
'This list is an ongoing argument between Seth MacFarlane and myself, but I have it: The Next Generation; the original series; then Voyager.
'After Voyager, then I have Deep Space Nine. Then last is Enterprise.'
She admits she even loves to go to Star Trek conventions.
She said: 'I went to the Star Trek Experience in Vegas maybe five years ago.
'I hung out with a bunch of fake characters inside Quark's bar.
'There were all these actors there pretending to be the different characters from the different shows. Yes, I loved it.'
And her most prized possession is a signed photograph from original series favourite Leonard Nimoy, who played Mr Spock.
She added: 'I've got a bunch of vintage Star Trek figurines given to me by Jason Segel. God, it's so embarrassing'
Her love of sci-fi marks her out as a thinking man's sex symbol, though the 28-year-old admits that she is still a shy girl despite being lusted after by men around the world.
In fact she found recording the sex scenes for her comedy hit Friends With Benefits extremely daunting.
She told the Australian Sunday Telegraph: 'It's not like you walk on set and start tap dancing, like 'Ta-daa' and then you drop.
'It took four months to build up a comfortable enough level where we could do that.
'I am incredibly self-conscious in real life about every part of my body, let alone for the whole crew to see and then the whole world to see.'
But she said starring opposite her old chum Timberlake made flashing the flesh much more bearable.
She said: 'The last person I cared about was Justin.
'Besides we were asked to make those scenes as awkward as possible so we didn't have to worry about being attractive, it was more of a laugh.
'There are plenty of sex scenes but the good thing is that our sex scenes were not supposed to be sexy.
'They are supposed to be funny which was great because that made the situation a lot easier. Being fake intimate with someone is just weird.'
And she admits she is still coming to terms with people complimenting her on her beauty.
She said: 'I get really uncomfortable with things like that.
'It's great and I like it and I'm totally flattered but I'm just learning to take compliments.
'I'm not great at it but I'm getting better. I think it's really sweet, I really do.'

Short and geek: With her pigtails and teddy bear the young Mila Kunis looked far from the coolest kid in town

Very friendly: The fact Mila bears all in Friends With Benefits has made it a popular movie among men

A Kunning plan: Having Mila Kunis flaunting the flesh helped the movie become a box office hit
