She has described her new shorter hair style as a 'soccer mom' look.
But Vanessa Hudgens's crop seems to be growing out into a rather unflattering mullet style. 
The 22-year-old actress went for a day of pampering with her mother Gina in Los Angeles today where she showed off a distinct flick at the back of her hair.

Sporting bright red lipstick and eyeliner, the actress looked happy and relaxed as she had her manicure.
She looked low key in a black and white T-shirt and several necklaces as she sipped on a Jamba Juice.
The star also spent time texting on her Blackberry while she had her nails painted bright red to match her lips.

Vanessa later stepped out of the salon showing off her legs in a pair of short blue shorts, strolling alongside her mother Gina.
The former High school Musical star had her hair chopped for a new role in independent film Gimme Shelter.
She plays a homeless teenager in the movie which is likely to be released next year.

However, the star has expressed doubts about her new hairdo, recently telling Access Hollywood: 'Honestly, I kind of feel like a soccer mom, but we're going to let that go.
'There's nothing wrong with soccer moms, but I'm only 22! I miss my hair, believe me, I do, but there's nothing I can do about it.
'It's really intense. I'm still getting used to it.'
