But it looked as though LeAnn was back to her skinny-self yesterday.
The singer failed to hide her tiny frame in a long grey dress as she shopped at a farmer's market in Calabasas, Los Angeles.
The 29-year-old's slim legs were exposed under the stylish number, which finished at her knees.
She paired the dress with a long orange cardigan and wedge heels with snakeskin print and ties around the ankles.
The Blue singer added a large black floppy hat to complete the ensemble.
She was seen buying some fruit and a gift basket from the high-end Williams Sonoma store.
LeAnn had tweeted earlier that she was out to buy a birthday present for someone.
LeAnn was seen earlier this month, sporting a healthier figure which she dressed in a skimpy bikini as she holidayed with actor husband Eddie Cibrian in Hawaii.
Back in October, she talked about her weight loss, blaming it on stress from her 2010 divorce from Dean Sheremet.
'[When I] was going through a divorce and I couldn't get out of bed... I gained 10 pounds, and then I lost 10 pounds because now I'm moving around and I'm working,' she told the Associated Press.
'I don't stop, and no one sees that [weight loss] actually can happen like naturally. It's a natural progression of life.'
'It has to be some big deal and some issue,' the country star said.
'I'm glad there are people out there that are smarter than that and they don't buy into it.'
In an interview with The Ellen DeGeneres Show last summer, LeAnn denied she is struggling with an eating disorder.
'[The press has] been very irresponsible [about] calling a lot of people fat or anorexic or bulimic or whatever it may be,' she said.
'It seems like bullying now instead of really taking these diseases seriously that a lot of people are going through.'
Her husband Eddie was also keen to defend his Rimes - who he married in April following a much publicised split and divorce from Brandi Glanville.
It came amid a barrage of criticism of her skinny frame, including from slender E! host Giuliana Rancic, who said LeAnn looks like she needed feeding up.
'It bothers me because, obviously, I know she’s healthy. She eats more than I do sometimes,' he told Access Hollywood a few months ago.
'She’s just a very [conscientious] eater, as far as what she eats. She eats pretty healthy, but she works out pretty hard too and she actually takes pride in the way she looks and it’s a shame that people will jump on the bandwagon just because she is fit. And she’s far from unhealthy.'
He went on: 'She works out like crazy. She works out hard. She boxes. She trains,' he told Access Hollywood.
She tweeted sarcastically: '@GiulianaRancic hey, we should go to dinner sometime. You get criticized all the time for how small you are.
'You can see just HOW much I eat and maybe put a stop to this crazy "shrinking" once and for all.....oh, & then we should workout together! Good luck with your restaurant!!!!' she wrote.
