Another Birthday...Chris Brown Celebrates His Birthday in Las Vegas, Mother Worried about Rihanna assault

It looked like Chris Brown didn't have a care in the world as he stripped off in Las Vegas to celebrate his 22nd birthday.

Sporting a heavily tattooed torso, the singer smiled widely as he posed with a brightly coloured birthday cake at trendy nightclub Pure yesterday.

However, as he celebrated in front of a crowd of party goers, his mother's comments about his infamous Rihanna assault were hitting the headlines.

In an interview with Sister 2 Sister magazine, Joyce Hawkins said: 'He has to learn to deal with it and go on with his life. This is something that happened; it was a huge mistake… it was not good at all.

'But he is still a human being and we all make mistakes and we live and we go on with it. But he has to own it, deal with it and move on with his life.

“I think he really needs to talk about the situation in itself, what actually happened to Rihanna… so that he can get that out for himself.'

Back in 2009. Brown pleaded guilty to felony assault after a bust up with his then-girlfriend Rihanna on the morning of the Grammy Awards.

He accepted a plea deal of community service and five years probation.

However, he appears to have found it difficult talking about the incident since, something which may have prompted his mother's comments.

Earlier this year, he smashed a window after an interview with Good Morning America's Robyn Roberts in which he was asked about the 2009 assault.

Over the weekend, the R&B star has hinted on his Twitter account that he may have been unhappy with his mother's interview.

'Sometimes when family tries to help they end up making things worse,' he wrote on Saturday.

Before Sunday's Sin City celebration, Brown was partying again - this time in Miami.

Brown completed the Australian leg of his F.A.M.E tour, before jetting back to the U.S. for his party.

And he certainly seemed to have a good weekend, tweeting: 'I just wanna thank everyone for making this day so special! Rough roads, crazy moments, and life lessons. My love for my fans is so eternal.'
