Sources have told TMZ that the 25-year-old actress will not be present in court to enter her plea but will be represented by lawyer Shawn Chapman Holley.
A 'no contest' plea may mean that Lohan can serve her sentence with an electronic monitoring device at home, rather than do time in jail.
Court plea: Lindsay Lohan, shown leaving her gym in Los Angeles last night will enter a 'no contest' plea in court tomorrow, according to reports
Allegations: Lohan was photographed wearing the necklace back in February
In U.S. law, no contest means the defendant is still claiming no guilt, but no longer contesting the charges brought.
Despite the forthcoming case, it's been business as usual for Lohan, who looked casual after she left the gym near her home last night.
She was seen looking remarkably relaxed out in downtown Los Angeles on Saturday as she attended the art gallery opening of her photographer friend Tyler Shields.
The actress has already been sentenced to 120 days in jail and 480 hours of community service for violating her probation on a 2007 DUI case.
With a no-contest plea, the Mean Girls star will be hoping Judge Sautner won't add any more time to her sentence.
The charge has already been reduced from a felony to a misdemeanour.
And if Lohan serves her 120 days jail time at home with a monitoring bracelet, she will get the same time off for good behaviour and overcrowding as she would if she were behind bars, according to TMZ.
Back in February, prosecutors charged Lohan with felony grand theft on allegations that she took a $2,500 necklace from Kamofie & Co. - a jewellery store near the actress's home in Los Angeles' Venice neighbourhood.
Lohan has pleaded not guilty to the alleged theft
