The happy couple were restrained in their affection as they walked the red carpet but shared a private moment once they were way from the cameras.
The actors, who star in Woody Allen's Midnight In Paris, described as a sublime love letter to the city, stole a kiss as they walked into the opening night party overlooking the Cannes beach.

Talking to Elle magazine recently about working with Wilson again, Rachel said: 'It's definitely a different dynamic from the last time we were together. It wasn't as fun being mean.
'I love that Woody likes good guys to be good guys and bad guys to be bad guys. Owen seemed to respond really well when I was a really bad guy.'
While it's still early days for Rachel and Michael's relationship, Rachel said she is hoping they will be able to follow in the footsteps of her parents, who are her romantic inspiration.
She said: 'They are still together and still in love. I'm very blessed that way.

'I think it was more that realisation that rocked me.'
