And the father-of-three decided to take his youngest son Cruz out for some football practise in Los Angeles yesterday.
The six-year-old tried to get the best of his father by running around and grabbing onto his leg as they fought for possession of the neon yellow ball.
Non contact sport? David Beckham picked up his son Cruz during their football training in Los Angeles
But Cruz couldn’t outsmart David on the pitch and the 36-year-old picked up his son and tackled him on the grass during a play fight.
The adorable father and son display was heart melting as they kicked the ball back and forth around the field.
And David looked his usual best in rolled up grey tracksuit bottoms, a white T-shirt and a black cap.
While Cruz wore his AC Milan football T-shirt, which was branded with Beckham 32 across the back.
Cruz’s older brothers Romeo, eight and Brooklyn, 12, didn’t join the twosome for the day out and were no doubt with their pregnant mother.
Odd rules: Cruz wasn't exactly following the usual football rules when he grabbed onto his father's leg on the pitch and ran away

Meanwhile, Victoria Beckham was last week treated to a lavish baby shower, thrown by her friends Eva Longoria and Ken Paves.
A-list friends including Demi Moore, Selma Blair, Rachel Zoe and Tana Ramsay attended the party at their Los Angeles home.
The baby bash came after David and Brooklyn were involved in a multiple-car pile-up on one of the busiest freeways in Los Angeles during rush hour last week.

The LA Galaxy star was at the wheel of his black Cadillac Escalade when it became the third car in the pile-up. Both he and Brooklyn were wearing seat belts.
The collision happened after a gold Mitsubishi stalled in the fast land due to mechanical problems, a California Highway Patrol spokeswoman said.
A source said: 'It was a lucky escape and both were wearing seatbelts, otherwise they would have been more seriously hurt.'
