Timbers were shivered at Disneyland tonight as a host of starry names gathered for the premiere of the latest swashbuckling Pirates of the Caribbean adventure: On Stranger Tides.
The film's star Johnny Depp, 47, looked a world apart from his alter-ego Captain Jack Sparrow with his short hair set off nicely by a retro style lounge suit and trainers.
However Depp left it to his co-star, and Pirates newcomer, Penelope Cruz, to steal the show in a figure hugging black dress that perfectly framed her glorious curves.

The 37-year-old was in sensational form, no hint of any weight she might have gained while pregnant with baby Leo, who arrived in January, was visible.
But she was given a run for her money by High School Musical alum Vanessa Hudgens, 22 , who wore a daring black dress with a slit to her thigh
Dancer Cheryl Burke, 27 , also opted for black despite the fact that the carpet for the event was a nefarious noir itself, to represent the dastardly doings on the high sea.

Hudgens' Disney co-star Ashley Tisdale, 25 , brightened things up with a stunning red gown while Eva Longoria, 36 , obviously gave Mickey Mouse ideas by wearing a pretty white dress, as he got down on one knee and proposed.
Actress Emma Roberts, 20 , and 60-year-old Kirstie Alley also got amorous with the 83-year-old cartoon legend, who seemed to be giving Captain Jack a run for his doubloons.
Teri Hatcher, 46, enjoyed playing the doting mother to her excited 13-year-old daughter Emerson Rose.

Also lapping up the fun was Rolling Stone Keith Richards, 67 , who inspired Depp's Sparrow and has a more substantial part in this fourth outing for the franchise.
Also rocking out was American Idol judge Steve Tyler, 63 , who could well be hoping to follow Richards into the warm waves of the Caribbean for the fifth or sixth film.
Stalwart cast member Geoffrey Rush, 51 , rubbed shoulders with British export Ian McShane, 68 , who is a sensation as Captain Blackbeard in the movie.
Newcomer Paris-based Astrid Berges Frisbey, 24 , who plays beautiful mermaid Syrena in the film looked gorgeous as she celebrated her first english speaking film, but it was Cruz's night.
The Spanish beauty gushed about working with 'rock 'n' roll Johnny' and said of Marshall: 'I really love Rob and have longed to work with him again. I want to kiss his feet.'
Actresses Eliza Dushku and Vanessa Branch both opted for A-line dresses which showed off their slimline figures and tiny waists
