Perhaps Nivea had a word? Raunchy Rihanna tones it down in faultless virginal white dress by Dolce Gabbana

Rihanna raised eyebrows at the Met Ball in her daringly risqué lace dress.

So perhaps Nivea had a quiet word with the pop star before she took to the stage at their 100th anniversary celebrations in Milan today.

It certainly worked. For once the 23-year-old looked faultless in a virginal white lace gown which covered her body and left her figure to the imagination.

It was a different story earlier in the week when she stole the show at the star-studded Met Ball.

Then Rihanna donned a black lace Stella McCartney gown.

From the front, the singer's dress appeared rather conservative with just a subtle hint of skin on show.

But as she turned around, Rihanna revealed a daring slit up the side of the dress, held together with sheer mesh.

The singer is known for her daring outfits, and cultivates her racy reputation with her videos.

Her whirlwind trip to Milan was all about business, however. As well as her performance for Nivea she also had meetings with fashion designers.

Then, less than 16 hours since she arrived, Rihanna was back aboard her private jet - this time heading for Paris.
